Here we live in a beautifully preserved and tastefully updated villa from 1926 with a large and lush garden plot, completely free from overlooking views. The Solbacken area, originally farmland, is today a popular and sought-after villa district with fantastic properties from the early 20th century, where we live with unbeatable proximity to both sea and city.

Our lovely entrance floor offers large social spaces, with impressive ceiling height and beautiful features from the year of construction such as ceiling rosettes and a cosy bay window. The entire floor bathes in light, and in the appealing dining and living rooms in a row we love to gather friends and family for socialising and cosy time together. The adjacent kitchen, modernly updated with sober grey interiors, offers plenty of workspace and storage – together with integrated appliances and a built-in dining table. Perfect for the day's first cup of coffee. But in summer we prefer to take that cup with us outside, to the large and lush garden – grown and verdant, with room for several different seating groups and play on the appealing lawn. On slightly cooler summer evenings we gladly move into the detached conservatory, where we enjoy our dinner with a view of the garden. Wonderful.

The upper floor, our more private parts, offers us three well-sized bedrooms, plenty of storage – and a fully tiled, modern bathroom with a shower. One more flight of stairs up we find the finished attic, perfect as a guest room or as something more secluded – a teenage room, home office – or yoga room. The beautiful window sections here let in abundant light, and we enjoy the lovely view over the rooftops of Malmö. Down in the basement we find two large storage spaces as well as our laundry area, complete with WC and shower.

In Solbacken there are plenty of green walking paths, a wide range of schools and preschools, grocery shops and good transport connections – indeed everything that makes everyday life run smoothly – together with a home that adds a golden touch to it. A warm welcome to the viewing!, Solbacken, Malmö
