About this home
At the very end of the street, with the sun, the quiet and a quick dip around the corner At the end of quiet Törnrosastigen awaits a home with room to move, a sunny corner plot, greenery and a plunge pool for cooling off or warming up Description At the end of a small street with only four houses lies Törnrosastigen 3 – a home where the location is a big part of the overall feel. No cars pass through here on their way somewhere else, the corner plot sits nicely on its own, and around the house lawn, rock, trees and greenery come together in a lovely, slightly uncontrived way. Plenty of room for children's play and running around, but also for those who would rather settle down in the sun and stay there. And it is outdoors that you will likely want to spend a great deal of time. On the back of the house awaits a large, sheltered patio under a roof – like an extra living room during the warmer months of the year. There is room here for both lounging on the sofa and long dinners, and right next to it lies the home's plunge pool. Not a pool that claims half the garden, but just the right size for a refreshing dip on a warm summer's day, or a warming bath in winter. From the patio the garden continues with stone paving, rock, plantings and greenery. A garden with character and several little spots to make your own. Indoors, the social life continues. Living room and dining area are united in a large and generous room where the beautiful original parquet floor runs through the surfaces and the furniture is truly given space. The large window section facing the garden does a lot for the room – the greenery is always in view and the connection between inside and outside becomes natural. Here I picture both the large dinner table with many people around it and the far simpler Sunday when no one really needs to do much at all. The house today has three bedrooms, but for the larger family or those needing a home office, guest room or teenage section, there is the possibility of creating two more. This makes the house unusually adaptable; here life does not need to adjust to the floor plan – the floor plan can change with life. And then there is the plot. Sunny for much of the day, shielded from view, and with a lovely elevated position where the eye can wander out over the surrounding area. Here there is grass for football goals and bare feet, mature trees, lilac bushes that provide both greenery and a sense of space, and the rock that peeks out and recalls the Bohuslän nature all around. This is not a manicured villa plot – and that is probably exactly why it feels so wonderful. Welcome to the very end of the street – where the pace gladly drops a notch, where you will easily feel at home, and perhaps even more easily stay a long while. Interior HallWelcome in! The entrance is practically placed, with room for outerwear and shoes in several wardrobes just inside the door. From here you get a fine overview of the entrance level and reach both the home's social areas, the bathroom and the stairs leading up. A hall that does its job without taking unnecessary space from the rest of the home. Living room & dining areaHere the house really comes into its own. Living room and dining area are united in a large and generous entertaining room where the beautiful original parquet sets the character. There is plenty of room here for both the large sofa group and a substantial dining table with many around it.The large window section facing the garden accounts for a large part of the room's feel. The light is given space, and outside you glimpse the patio, the greenery and the plunge pool. From here the step out to the patio is short, and during the warmer months of the year inside and outside gladly flow together. KitchenThe kitchen lies in direct connection to the living room and dining area and thus becomes a natural part of the home's social spaces. There is plenty of work surface and storage here, along with appliances in the form of fridge/freezer, oven, hob, extractor fan and dishwasher. The window above the worktop provides fine daylight and a pleasant spot for everyday tasks. The laundry room is also reached from the kitchen – practical when grocery bags, laundry and family life must share the same roof. Laundry roomSeparate laundry room adjoining the kitchen with washing machine, work surface and storage. There are also additional wardrobes here, providing plenty of room for things you want close at hand but tucked away. Here, by the outer entrance, there is a storage room that complements the house's already good storage options. Perfect for all those things needed in everyday life that preferably should not be left out. Bedroom 1 – entrance levelOn the entrance level there is a generously sized bedroom in a calm and secluded position away from the home's social areas. There is plenty of room here for a double bed and additional furnishings. A natural master bedroom for those who appreciate having bedroom and bathroom on the same floor. Office/possible bedroomNext to the entrance lies another room currently used as an office. Perfect for those who work from home and want to be able to close the door on the working day – but also a room with the possibility of instead being used as an additional bedroom should the family's needs look different. BathroomThe bathroom on the entrance level is practically placed next to the hall. Newly renovated with tasteful porcelain tile and ceramic tile, equipped with WC, washbasin with vanity unit, shower with glass wall and recessed spotlights for lighting. Attractive recessed, tiled shelves, these too with lighting. Upper floorThe stairs lead up to a central hall that ties the floor together and leads on to three bedrooms, a WC and the house's many storage spaces. The upper floor becomes a naturally more private part of the house and suits the children, guests or the family that simply needs plenty of rooms of their own.Large sliding-door wardrobe that becomes like a walk-in closet along the hall. Patio and plunge poolOutside the living room's large window section awaits a generous and sheltered patio that becomes a natural extension of the home's entertaining spaces. There is room here for both lounge furniture and long moments together with family and friends.Right next to it lies the home's plunge pool – just the right size for a refreshing dip when the summer sun is shining or a warm bath when the temperature drops. The combination of patio, pool and proximity to the living room creates a lovely spot that will likely be used far more than just in high summer. Garden and outdoor environmentThe corner plot lies sunny and nicely shielded from view, with a lovely mix of mature vegetation, trees, lilac bushes, rock and lawn. There is something here for both the gardening enthusiast and the family that above all wants room for play, running and lazy days outdoors. The rock is allowed to be a natural part of the garden, and together with the greenery it gives the plot a character that feels more Bohuslän than manicured. The lawn at the same time leaves plenty of room for children's play, football goals and summer games. Parking/carportBy the house there is a carport with parking in direct connection to the entrance.
