About this home
Authentic, charming and well-preserved Scanian longhouse. Welcome to the charming Scanian longhouse, a place where time seems to have stood still. Surrounded by lush greenery and birdsong, this well-preserved Scanian longhouse with roots from a bygone era sits peacefully. Inside, you are greeted by several beautiful fireplaces, oiled wooden floors, exposed beams and old fine doors. In the kitchen stands a wood-burning stove. Modern comforts have been added, including a large bathroom. An approved three-flue chimney ensures the home is both modern and sustainable. On the property, the seller has placed a summer gazebo, which also has a unique history – the building previously served as a customs watch hut in the port of Ystad, as did the old outdoor toilet, known from the film The Emigrants. There is also a simple garage on the property. This charming, solid and well-preserved Scanian longhouse has been the family's beloved summer home since the early 1960s. Year of construction probably considerably older, 18th century according to hearsay. Floor area 115 sqm. Plot area 1370 sqm. Ceiling height approx. 1.80 and approx. 1.85 respectively.
