Strömsviksvägen 44 - Norrtälje

Welcome to a home close to the archipelago! In a secluded spot down along Strömsviksvägen lies this charming holiday cottage. Enjoy the proximity to the sea bay, located only 150 metres below the house! Down by the water there is your own area where you can place an outdoor seat to settle into and gaze out over the water. Perhaps you would like to pull up your canoe or a small boat after a day of outdoor life. From Strömsviken you can quickly reach beautiful archipelago and open sea.

The house is situated in a sheltered position on the scenic plot that borders beautiful forest. A separate guest house provides extra space for visits from family or friends. Perfect for quiet moments or as a base for adventures in the archipelago.

Shops can be found in Herräng, Hallstavik, Älmsta and Grisslehamn.

INTERIOR Entrance to a furnishable hall that gives you space to hang off your outerwear and shoes. From the hall you reach the house's kitchen and living room, which are adjacent to each other, with a wood-burning stove/fireplace placed in one corner. In the living room you have space for a sofa group and a TV unit. The house has three restful bedrooms, one of which is larger with space for a double bed. You have a WC room where there is also a washing machine. The shower room is located separately next to the bedrooms. At the front of the house there is a spacious terrace where you can set the table for summer meals.

GUEST COTTAGE AND STORAGE There is a guest cottage on the plot that is brightly furnished, for overnight guests. There is also storage in the storage building.

AREA With your own boat you can visit the entire northern Roslagen archipelago; you can get to, among other places, Öregrund and Grisslehamn, and through the Väddö Canal you can get all the way down to the Stockholm archipelago, with a rest for a lovely lunch at Furusunds värdshus. From Grisslehamn ferries go to Åland, which has a beautiful archipelago.

At home there are large areas for picking mushrooms and berries. Homemade lingonberry and blueberry jam or blueberry pie is lovely to bring out when the snow swirls around the corners. A good chanterelle sauce with the beef fillet is not to be refused either. A year's consumption of berries and mushrooms is easily picked.

TULKASTRÖMMEN Live in a beautiful location where nature is your closest neighbour. Here you find tranquility with Strömsviken lying mirror-still, and long forest walks with berry and mushroom picking. Strömsviken flows into Edeboviken and onwards towards the beautiful archipelago at Singöfjärden.

HERRÄNG It is about 3 km to Herräng. Herräng is widely known for its annual dance events. Here there is a large marina and also shops.

GRISSLEHAMN It is about 15 km (1.5 mil) to the summer resort of Grisslehamn, an old fishing village on the Sea of Åland. In the outer harbour there are still today professional fishermen and a fish shop that is open all year round. Here is also the ferry terminal of Eckerölinjen for the traffic between Grisslehamn and Eckerö, Sweden's closest route to Åland.

In the harbour you can stroll around and visit summer shops and buy fresh fish at the boathouses. Cosy cafés can be found, among others at Albert Engströmgården. There are also guided tours about Engström's life. At Albert Engström's writing studio, which is located on a rocky cliff, you have extensive views over the Sea of Åland and a beautiful sandy beach.

HALLSTAVIK It is about 8 km to Hallstavik. There you can find most things you might need. Grocery shops, a hardware store and an adventure pool.
