A spring morning when the sea lies completely still and you watch flocks of eider ducks pass by, or winter storms when the white geese sketch a crackling picture. Here you live next to the sea with views stretching for miles. A stone's throw from the window, hundreds of sailing boats pass by on a summer's day. The Furusundsleden shipping lane is alive all year round thanks to the archipelago traffic and the cruise ships passing on their way to Stockholm.

In summer, you can hop on an archipelago boat – usually the Sjöbris or Sjögull – at Strömkajen in Stockholm and step off right outside the apartment. You can also travel by public bus from Stockholm, changing in Norrtälje, all year round.

A living island with Walpurgis Night and Midsummer celebrations. The annual Furusundsveckan, where people socialise across generations through, among other things, tournaments in boules, football and brännboll (rounders), a running race and activities for children. In recent years there have also been art tours on the island, as well as Oktoberfest and Advent celebrations. In addition, after-work events are arranged at both Hamnkrogen and Furusunds värdshus, which in recent years have become absolute top restaurants in the Stockholm archipelago.

You can reach the entire archipelago with or without your own boat. There are available boat berths in the harbour, 200 metres from the apartment, or you can hop on one of the archipelago boats that stop at the jetty outside the apartment.
