From Loftahammar you can take the archipelago ferry out to the islands and all the way to Västervik. On Stora Askö you live close to the outer sea band where sky meets sea, yet with the convenience of a bridge connection to the mainland. This means you can easily get here by car – a rare privilege in an archipelago setting. The Tjust archipelago is known for its thousands of islands and is one of the most beautiful places along our coast. The county border with Östergötland runs in the bay outside, and on the other side lies the Torrö nature reserve – with fine hiking trails via Östgötaleden.
