As the name suggests, the property is wonderfully situated at the very top of the parish, with sweeping views over the fields. The idyll is palpable in the wonderful garden with raspberries, grapes, currants, cherries, pears and Stenkyrka apples. Here grow Gotland roses and lilacs, and with the help of the beautiful stone wall, the ash trees embrace the grounds. The area offers peace and quiet while everything you need is close at hand. The immensely charming and carefully renovated dwelling house welcomes you with its beautiful glass veranda, heated by underfloor heating beneath the Gotland limestone floor. The house offers large social spaces, a tiled stove, wooden floors and herringbone parquet. There are four bedrooms and a lovely bathroom in the former telephone room, with both bathtub and shower. There is the possibility of reinstating a fireplace in the beautiful chimney. The kitchen features a wood-fired stove alongside all the conveniences of the modern kitchen and the charming pantry. From the dining area with its cosy built-in seating, you can enjoy the fantastic view outside the patio door, as well as from the terrace, which is itself a real gem. Here, beside the small pond, you can enjoy the sun and the surroundings from morning to evening. Popular Stenkyrka is within easy commuting distance of Visby, along the coast of north-western Gotland. The nearest swimming spot, lovely Lickershamn, is within cycling distance. In the local area there is a grocery store open every day of the week, a creperie, a restaurant, crafts and a café. Stenkyrka also has both a preschool and a school. The forest, recently thinned out, now resembles a meadow, and if you wish to keep it open, the lambs that have grazed there for a few weeks each summer in recent years will most likely gladly return. The farmyard picture is romantic, and there is so much space and so many possibilities here! The immensely charming old outdoor toilet has recently been converted into a superb sauna, and the farmhand's cottage offers space for both long-distance guests and a hot tub. Furthermore, there is a beautiful, older barn with horse boxes for all kinds of horses, with the possibility of a paddock on the property's own land just behind.
