About this home

On an exceptional lakeside plot of 14,354 sqm in the best southern position, an archipelago living beyond the ordinary is offered. Here you enjoy sun from morning to evening, your own sandy beach, a substantial jetty with sailing-boat depth and a complete farm complex with two architect-designed residential houses, two double garages, a boathouse cabin, sauna and sheep barn. A unique opportunity for those seeking a permanent or holiday home with a high standard in a genuine archipelago setting.

The plot is screened from view and carefully landscaped with large lawns, plantings and beautiful views. To the east, open meadows spread out, while the western side borders untouched nature with ancient monuments.

Sandy beach, jetty, boathouse cabin, sauna and swimming Down by the water there is a completely private, lovely sandy beach that is perfect for swimming, even with children. At the substantial jetty, with a depth of 1.80, you can keep your boats. There is also room to settle into a lounge chair and gaze out over the glittering water. Naturally, there is a wood-fired sauna to enjoy, perhaps combined with diving into the sea bay right from the jetty. Here you also find the cosy boathouse cabin. It has running water and electricity and is perfect for overnight guests.

The main building The main building of 190 sqm, built in 1998 and extended in 2012, is characterised by large window sections, generous ceiling height, consistently well-proportioned rooms and exclusive material choices.

The entrance welcomes you to a spacious hall with good storage options. To the left is a well-proportioned shower room with wc, shower corner and a generous mirror and chest of drawers. The next door takes you to a laundry room with storage, equipped with a washing machine and tumble dryer. There is also a small sauna here, as well as a shower and a utility entrance that is handy to step into after a day in the garden.

Further into the house you meet the living room, characterised by large window sections with unobstructed views over the plot and down towards the water. This room is open up to the ridge and has space for a sofa group to simply relax in. Bring out a book, settle into the armchair in front of the wood-burning stove, which provides both warmth and atmosphere during the cooler months. Via the patio doors you reach the generous terrace - where indoors and outdoors meet in a natural way during the summer. There is both a barbecue area and space for sun loungers.

The kitchen is custom-built by carpenters and is furnished in a timeless rustic style. It is fully equipped with fridge and freezer, dishwasher, hob, extractor fan, as well as oven and microwave. A large kitchen island invites social gatherings! The dining area is placed in front of window sections facing the large terrace.

Bedroom On this floor you have a restful bedroom with storage behind sliding wardrobe doors and a lovely view down towards the water.

Upper floor When you come up the stairs to the upper floor, you are met by a spacious family room. On either side of this, there are two bedrooms, both also well-proportioned and can even be divided into more bedrooms.

The main house has a ground-source heat pump installed in 2026. There are also 2 air/air heat pumps that both heat and cool the temperature. In addition, there is a wood-burning stove. Solar cells with an accompanying battery help keep the electricity cost down.

The side building The side building of 40 sqm with an accompanying loft, was built in 1998 and extended in 2012. Here you step into the glazed veranda and further into the entrance floor, which has an open family room with sea views. A kitchen area and a spacious bedroom, plus a toilet with shower, mean that the overnight family can manage entirely on their own in this house. A substantial staircase leads up to a spacious loft that can be used both as a lounge and bedroom. This building is also architect-designed and built in the same style as the main house to fit well into the archipelago setting. This house is heated by a wood-burning stove and electricity.

Double garages Two well-insulated double garages of 80 sqm with accompanying storage offer space for cars, boats, a workshop or hobby activities. The newer garage, built in 2009, is equipped with underfloor heating and an extensive solar cell installation on both roof surfaces. The solar cell installation was installed in 2023.

Sheep barn A substantial building with electricity and water that is well suited for keeping animals.

On the plot there are additional storage sheds and outbuildings, as well as a small greenhouse with potential.

The plot is beautiful with a combination of large lawns and lovely plantings. A garden architect has planned the design. You buy two properties together - Åkerö 1:7 and Åkerö 1:85, where Åkerö 1:7 is classified as agricultural land.
