Balsby is a locality in Kristianstad municipality in Skåne county, located approximately six kilometres north of Kristianstad, on the southeastern shore of Lake Råbelövssjön. Balsby is a vibrant village with active community associations, fantastic nature and proximity to the lake. Within cycling distance we find all the conveniences of the locality. A short walk away we find a bathing area with bathing jetties and pleasant barbecue areas. Balsberget is a limestone mountain. On the mountain lies the famous Balsbergsgrottan cave, which is however usually closed to the public. On the eastern side, at just under 100 metres elevation, there is a viewpoint from which you can see south towards Kristianstad, southeast over Hanö Bay and east towards Bromölla. Just below the viewpoint spreads Lake Råbelövssjön.
