In a scenic location in the lower part of the village of Semlan, fish farming has been carried on since the beginning of the century, including the farming of trout, grayling and Arctic char. The operation is no longer in use and the owners have chosen to sell the property. Here, new owners are offered the opportunity to resume fish farming or to develop the property into something new. The buildings are well suited to being converted into stable buildings or a workshop. The property currently has three buildings, one of which has contained a kitchen and staff facilities in combination with tanks, while the other two buildings have mainly been used solely for fish farming in tanks. The property of approx. 3 ha is assessed as industrial land and borders the Semlan river.

Semlan is located west of Lake Storsjön in Jämtland County, a few kilometres north of Mörsil. The Semlaån river, from which the village takes its name, flows into Lake Ockesjön and has a catchment area with a large proportion of wetlands in its upper parts. The people of Jämtland have an inherited interest in fish farming. As early as the 1860s, people were actively engaged in catching breeding fish, stripping them of roe and milt, and placing the fertilised roe in small fish farms over the winter. Semlan's fish farm has held a permit for 1,500 kg.
