About this home
Charming villa with origins from the 19th century; southwest-facing plot, private boathouse and jetty by a swim-friendly lake!
Welcome to your new paradise beside the swim-friendly Trehörningen! On a sheltered southwest-facing position to catch all of the day's sunny hours, you will find this property; consider it a unique opportunity to enjoy the beauty and tranquillity of nature while being only a 20-minute drive from the city centre.
A charming house with origins from the 19th century, where details such as beautiful shiplap cladding, a working tiled stove, solid wooden floors, high plinths and decorative double-glazed windows with muntins as well as window shutters can become your everyday life. The house has over time been modernised to suit today's needs with, among other things, a stylish wet room from 2007, a fully equipped kitchen and a wood-burning stove. In 1990, an extension was also built with an impressive ceiling height of 5 metres at its highest point and, for the most part, window-clad walls that let the room bathe in daylight and a harmonious view over the lake. The glass veranda is also a favourite; here one gladly sets out an afternoon coffee and gazes out over the interplay of the water and nature.
There are currently two generous bedrooms, and the alcove could serve as an additional bedroom or perhaps a study? The social spaces consist of a well-proportioned living room in the extended part, where one gladly places a substantial sofa group, dining table and further furnishings. Next to the kitchen there is a dining area that seats 8-10 guests, and if you wish you can also set the table towards the glass veranda so that more dinner guests can be accommodated. If you have overnight guests, they will gladly sleep in the winter-insulated guest cottage of approx. 21 sqm, which has also served as a studio.
A sheltered, undulating and grass-covered plot surrounded by dense coniferous and deciduous forest; the private jetty with the boathouse is the icing on the cake and invites refreshing dips, fishing as well as peaceful trips in the rowing boat. You will get to enjoy the sun's best hours from the west and magical sunsets over the water. Here you will also find beautiful flowers, fine stone features, tidy gravel paths, many places for recreation and surrounding fencing with decorative double gates that bid you welcome. Good parking possibilities on the gravelled driveway as well as on the rear part of the plot.
Many choose to live in the area for the convenient distance to Uppsala's city centre, but also for the proximity to incredibly beautiful walking areas around the beautiful lake. In summer, one gladly takes the Lennakatten into town, but here it is also a short walking distance to the bus that runs along Länsväg 282. Preschool and school up to grade 3 are offered at Funboskolan, a cosy building from the late 19th century; after that, most attend Almungeskolan, which offers schooling up to lower secondary age. Welcome to a living countryside with, among other things, its own swimming school, Badholmen with a diving tower reached by rowing boat, and fantastic midsummer celebrations. In winter, one takes the skates or cross-country skis across the lake. Fjällnora, which is immensely popular with organised activities, is a bike ride away; here you will find, among other things, a restaurant, a large swimming area with jetties, a high ropes course, canoe rental and skate rental.
Welcome to a home with an optimal quality of life!
