Follow the instructions in the waste room for each respective chute. House rules Living in a cooperative apartment means we are part of a community. Together we own and manage the building in which we live. In any community there must be certain rules for everything to work, and therefore we have house rules. If everyone follows the house rules, it contributes to a pleasant community, our area looks tidy and we avoid unnecessary costs. Some important examples are listed below. When it comes to substantial alteration of the apartment, we must obtain the board's approval. This also applies if, for example, we want to install our own satellite dish or replace a shower with a bathtub. Remember that your floor is your neighbour's ceiling. That is why you should not leave the TV, radio or stereo on too loud, not walk indoors in wooden clogs or do anything else that disturbs. This is especially important between 22.00 and 07.00. When we host a party, we should notify the neighbours and show consideration. We all want our apartment to look nice. Sometimes that requires drilling, hammering and sawing. But do this between 08.00 and 20.00 to avoid noise outside these hours. Satellite dishes may not be mounted on the buildings' facade walls. On the balconies it is NOT permitted to barbecue.
