Seaside and newly renovated holiday home in Grisslehamn.

I would venture to say that this is the autumn's Gold Nugget! We are now in the archipelago of Northern Roslagen, Grisslehamn. A modern, charming and newly renovated home with approx. 100 metres to the nearest rock bathing spot.

Imagine a storm rolling in over Grisslehamn, the winds whirling and the rain beating against the windows just like today. Inside, you sit wrapped in a warm blanket with a cup of tea while the fire crackles sweetly in the background. This is just one of the many advantages of winterised holiday homes — work from home summer and winter in a relaxing environment and connect to the fibre connection.

In summer, plenty of swimming and boat hours are promised, as the open Sea of Åland lies just a stone's throw from the property. In the nearby Räfsterviken (1 minute's walk) there is the possibility of a boat mooring by pulling the boat up on land. Kvarnsand and Nothamn offer sandy beaches where you love to be on a warm summer day — pack up your swim bag and head off. Imagine an early summer morning just as the day dawns. The coffee is freshly brewed, the sandwiches are steaming hot and a large blanket lies in the basket. Wander down to the water and behold an unbeatable sunrise. This is something the family has done every summer since 2013, and the feeling is just as indescribable every time.

Over the past eight years, the home has undergone extensive renovations and extensions for maximum comfort and year-round standard in the two houses. The main house is approx. 100 sqm and, like the guest house, has a modern exterior and a large wooden deck for social gatherings. The interior is warm and homely, exactly what you want in a holiday home. Here the space is distributed openly between the living room, kitchen and dining room to create an inviting feeling right from the entrance hall. A wood stove and open fireplace essentially heat the entire floor during the colder seasons, combined with an efficient air source heat pump, of course. There are 3 bedrooms with good storage possibilities. The shower room is equipped with an incinerating toilet, shower, washing machine with folding bench — everything for comfortable living.

The guest house is approx. 60 sqm and, like the main house, has been completely renovated in recent years. Here you can send the teenagers down to fend for themselves, or overnight guests. What a luxury to have this extra house on the plot! The house is divided into two equally large rooms with high standards in material choices and design. 2 x fireplaces, 2 x sleeping places, 2 x kitchen areas and a large shower room, also with an incinerating toilet, shower cubicle and vanity unit.

On the generous plot there are natural spaces for both new buildings and extensions for those who wish. There is also a woodshed and tool shed by the driveway. This is an incredibly easy-to-maintain natural plot that gives the handy person space to potter in the garden as much as they like.

Here in Grisslehamn there is an Ica shop, Havsboden, café Kalaset at Engströmsgården, a fish shop and L8 in the harbour, which serves food made from organic ingredients during the summer. Hotell Havsbaden is located in the area and is a fantastic spa! It is cycling distance to the harbour (approx. 2 km) with fish sales, café and dining, and where Eckerölinjen departs with daily trips to Åland. There is also a campsite, tennis and padel, which became a big sport in 2021! There are good transport connections via road 283 to Norrtälje and onwards to Stockholm.

This is an idyll that must be experienced on site. Here you will create many wonderful memories together, believe me!

Welcome!

Step in, step into this delightful holiday home! Here you are welcomed by a spacious hall with hanging facilities. A revitalised pine floor runs from the hall into the kitchen and the cosy living room. To the right you are met by a smaller bedroom with built-in bunk beds and good storage. Next to it you will find a shower room equipped with a practical incinerating toilet of the Cinderella brand. The shower room is also equipped with a washing machine, shower and sink. The walls are clad in wet room wallpaper and the floor is wet room matting.

Next we come to a rustic kitchen with a beautiful wood stove — should you ever have a power cut, you already have a rescue for cooking and heat. The kitchen is equipped with a combined oven and hob as well as a dishwasher. On one side there is white tiling, a really nice detail, and the worktop is oak. To the left of the kitchen you will find the fantastic living room where you can spend many game nights and dinners together with your loved ones. A spacious area with large glass sections where the light flows through the room. Of course there is a fireplace for extra comfort and cosiness. You will create unforgettable memories in this house, I can promise!

Continuing on, we come to bedroom 2, a bedroom with wall panelling and triple-glazed windows. Adjacent you will find bedroom 3, the "master bedroom", which has wallpapered walls and a pine floor. Don't worry. You can pack several suitcases of clothes when you come out to the country. Because in this room there is, in fact, a spacious walk-in wardrobe that fits most things.

Now we have made our way through the main house, BUT we are not done yet. On the plot there is a fantastic guest house which I call the hotel for your guests. We are welcomed by a shared hall with a solid wood floor to create that warm feeling. Straight ahead, a shared shower room with an incinerating toilet, sink and shower. The reason I call this a hotel is precisely because the house is divided into two bedrooms/mini-suites, each with its own stove and its own "kitchen area", with a fridge and crockery storage. Here your guests with children can enjoy a calm breakfast together. How cosy?! If you want a bit of privacy, this guest house is a free zone.
