Welcome to Gubbmyren and Häxringsvägen 25, and this charming and rustic log-built mountain cabin that has everything you could wish for a wonderful stay in the mountains, summer and winter alike. The house consists of an entrance level plus a loft. The entrance level has a living room, kitchen and two bedrooms. The bathroom with a sauna is perfect after a long day out on the slopes or the cross-country trails, located just a few hundred metres from the home. The home has a social and open floor plan between the kitchen and living room, which naturally becomes the obvious gathering place for spending time with family and friends. There is also a wood-burning stove that raises the cosiness factor. From the living room you step out onto the large veranda, which has a perfect sunny position; from here you look out over the Gubbmyren cross-country trails. Above the bedrooms there is a loft that is the perfect place for slightly older children to hang out; it is furnished with two beds. The home has a total of 8 beds. You have the opportunity to become one of 8 co-owners of House 1 in the housing cooperative Fritid i Sälen. This share consists of three fixed weeks, 5, 17 and 18. In addition to these fixed weeks there are no fewer than 22 shared weeks that you as an owner can choose to use. Week 5 falls at the beginning of February, which means snow is guaranteed and the skiing in the slopes is usually very good, with shorter lift queues compared to, for example, the school holiday weeks. During weeks 17 and 18 you can enjoy the best season of the year, late winter, with wonderful ski trips up on the mountain. Gubbmyren is a very popular area in the Sälen mountains. Here you still find the cosy mountain environment while being close to plenty of activities. It is approximately 2 kilometres to the Lindvallen alpine resort. Lindvallen is the largest ski area in the Sälen mountains and has no fewer than 42 slopes of varying difficulty as well as 36 lifts. For those who enjoy cross-country skiing, there are trails right outside the cabin. These are the Gubbmyren ski trails, which include a lit 2 km loop as well as 5, 7 and 10 kilometre trails. Lindvallen is built around four squares, including Experiumtorget, which offers an adventure pool, spa, cinema, bowling and several restaurants.
