About this home
Architectural height in a small format is achieved in an exceptionally sought-after quarter on Grev Magnigatan. Where there once was a stable, well-respected Ateljé Nord has created a high-class freestanding farmhouse, media-noticed and finalist in Ung Arkitektur 2024. Entry is from the street, through the old riding passage, over a small inner yard. The home's space-efficient 3 rooms distributed on 53 sqm are arranged with living room, dining area and kitchen that share a common area with glassed partition doors facing the inner courtyard. The doors have window shutters that mimic the old stable doors and create privacy. At the furthest end lie the bedrooms and bathroom, with plastered walls and skylights giving fantastic natural light. Trim work is made of solid, lacquered walnut and pigmentated oak. The flooring is laid with brushed Lindanäs, a limestone with coarser surface. The meticulously designed interior is Japan-inspired and the architect has also drawn several of the furniture, such as stools, beds and sofa and dining tables. Welcome to a unique dwelling beyond the ordinary in a quiet environment with absolute proximity to both Djurgårdens greenery and Stureplan's rich offering.
