Welcome to the fishing village of Skillinge on Österlen and the historic old school from the 19th century! A house with an exciting history as a school from 1870 until the 1920s. Thereafter, and until the end of the 1980s, the house was used as a church hall for the Lutheran Mission Society. Since then, the house has been renovated and used as a private residence with its character and style preserved. The room layout is clever, with delightful living rooms, bedrooms and bathrooms on both the ground floor and upper floor. We find many genuine details, such as exposed roof beams, mirrored doors, paned windows, a stove and a small wine cellar. The garden is just the right size, with planting that provides privacy yet is easy to maintain. We find a greenhouse and several different storage spaces, one of which is insulated and could perhaps be developed further into a guest house. There is a fine view of the sea through the gap between the neighbouring houses. There is ample parking on the square outside, and a short walk takes us to the sea, the harbour restaurant, the general store, the theatre, small shops and the historic Köpmangården with its grocery store. Skillinge is a vibrant community with over a hundred businesses as well as a preschool.
