Castanum acquires Gävle Byggteam

The well-established construction services company Gävle Byggteam AB, operating in Gävle, Ockelbo and Tierp and the surrounding areas, has gained a new owner in Castanum Förvaltning AB.

"We want to be the best at what we do, and what we do best is helping people with building damage", explains Jan Martinsson of Gävle Byggteam. "Our goal is to continue to be a leader and grow within our segment. For this, I feel that Castanum is a perfect partner".

Gävle Byggteam AB, founded in 1978 and taken over by the current owners in 2008, offers construction services primarily to housing cooperatives, municipal housing companies and insurance companies. With an annual turnover of around SEK 50 million, the company has built up a strong position in the Gävle region. The sale enables continued development and growth, as the company now gains access to the resources of a larger organisation. This provides better conditions for participating in extensive framework agreement procurements and for growing further from a stable foundation.

At the same time, the acquisition represents a strategic step for the buyer, which through the purchase establishes itself on a new geographical market. It creates access to new specialist expertise for the group, which now comprises five businesses within the construction industry.
