About this home
Welcome to a home with timeless character and a layout that truly works in everyday life. This well-planned two-room apartment is located in a classic 1950s building in Västertorp, a calm and well-loved area south of the city with proximity to the metro. The apartment runs through the building with natural light from two directions, which together with the generous ceiling height gives a pleasant sense of space. Here, older charm meets modern function, with several of the fine original details from the year of construction preserved, such as the stone window sills and the beautiful mirrored door leading into the living room. The hallway is welcoming and practical, with grey terrazzo flooring, plenty of room for outerwear and shoes, and additionally a storage space perfectly located adjacent to the kitchen. The kitchen is renovated and of modern standard with smooth white cabinet doors, stainless steel appliances, and an oven and microwave placed at a comfortable working height. A large window lets in abundant light, and there is plenty of room for a dining table. A smaller counter surface next to it works perfectly as a small coffee station or extra workspace. The living room is airy and bright, with access to a sunny balcony where you love to settle down with your morning coffee or the evening's book. The room accommodates both a large sofa, a bookshelf and, if desired - a work corner. The bedroom is generously sized with a full wardrobe wall behind sliding doors. There is plenty of space for a double bed and additional furniture, perhaps a desk or a comfortable armchair. A charming angled window creates a soft light and a lovely focal point. The bathroom is fresh and fully tiled, with grey terrazzo flooring, white walls, a shower, a washing machine and, not least, a window, something that always feels extra luxurious. The apartment is part of a well-maintained and stable housing association with good finances and a low loan-to-value ratio. There are several low-rise buildings here with period charm from the 1950s. The association has, among other things, carried out main pipe replacements and invested in maintenance to keep the buildings in good condition. As a member, you have access to laundry rooms, bicycle storage, a community room and a guest apartment that can be rented when needed. Each apartment comes with two storage spaces, one of which is a classic pantry. Garage and parking spaces are available via a separate queue, and the fee for both TV and internet is included in the monthly fee. Västertorp is a charming and lively area that combines small-town feel with proximity to the city centre. In the centre you will find the metro, grocery stores, cafés, pizzerias, small shops and the cosy bakery Bakstugan, a local favourite with truly delicious baked goods. Markets are held here several times a year, contributing to a warm neighbourhood feel and providing natural opportunities to meet neighbours. Nearby there are also large playgrounds, outdoor gyms, ball courts and the Västertorp swimming and sports hall. In summer, Hägerstensbadet beckons with a refreshing dip under the open sky, and when the mood strikes, both the nature and cultural life of Vinterviken and the restaurants and cafés of Telefonplan are within walking distance. Several preschools and schools are located in the area, and with the metro you are in the city centre in about 10 minutes.
