Sönnertjärnen, a small lake perfect for swimming, is just a 10-minute walk through the forest or accessible by car. In summer and autumn, you can of course pick berries and mushrooms in abundance here. In Edebäck, about 2 kilometers away, you can rent bicycles, kayaks, and canoes. Vildmark i Värmland, a nationally recognized provider of tours with self-built rafts on the Klarälven – an unforgettable adventure – is also located here. In Torsby, about 30 kilometers away, there is a mountain bike and ski trail, where you can even go cross-country skiing in summer. Nearby attractions include the impressive Brattfallet and fantastic nature reserves such as Fräkensjömyrarna, Vimyren, Fänstjärnsskogen, and Titjärnsskogen, to name just a few. The vast Tiomilaskogen is also nearby, and moose and other wild animals are everywhere. For day trips, you can visit the beautiful city of Karlstad on Lake Vänern, Oslo, the capital of Norway, or Fulufjället National Park. There is much to see!

Ekshärad is 10 kilometers away and offers a school, health center, supermarkets, building materials, waste management, and much more. Hagfors, 15 kilometers away, has everything else you might need for daily life. The nearest hospital is in Torsby, 30 kilometers away.

A regional airport connecting Värmland with Stockholm Arlanda is 10 kilometers away, and the bus to Karlstad stops almost right outside the door.
