Kåge is a community approx. 13 kilometres north of central Skellefteå, out by the sea. In Kåge there are schools from preschool to grade 9 (F-9) as well as preschools. Library, grocery store, petrol station, heated outdoor pool, pharmacy, bakery, pizzeria, florist, gym, interior design shop, public dental care, the sports club Kågedalens AIF which has activities in football, floorball and ice hockey. Lit ski trails. A small boat harbour for leisure boats and the youth recreation centre Holken.

The Kåge älv river flows through Kåge and is a very good fishing river, with salmon, sea trout, grayling, perch etc. From the small boat harbour you can head out into the archipelago, where there are several small islands or swimming spots to stop at and simply enjoy.

From Kåge there are good bus connections to Skellefteå.
